What this site is, and what it never asks

The short version

Project Freaky is a free, fan made private game project with its own authentication, profiles, parties and matchmaking, running on infrastructure run by its own team. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Epic Games in any way. Fortnite is a trademark of Epic Games.

What we never ask for

• Your Epic Games email, password or two factor codes. Never. Not on this site, not in Discord, not anywhere.
• Payment. The project is free, there is no store and no keys are sold.
• Your password or backup codes in a DM. Nobody on the team will ask, and anyone who does is not the team.
• Remote access to your computer, or your launcher files sent to a stranger.

What an account here actually is

An account on this site is an independent account on our own servers. You choose an email and a password for this project only, and we store a one way hash of the password that cannot be read back. It has nothing to do with your Epic Games account, and signing in here does not sign you in anywhere else.

How to tell the real site from a fake

• The official address is https://projectfreaky.dev. The account system lives at auth.projectfreaky.dev and both are ours. Check the padlock and the full domain before typing anything.
• We never redirect you to another login page. If a link leaves this domain and asks for a password, close it.
• Our contact addresses end in the domains below. Anything else is not us.
• Report a fake site or a suspicious message to the addresses below and it gets taken down.

What we keep

The minimum needed to run the project: your email, your display name, hashed password and backup codes, session records and security logs. No ad networks, no data sales, no reading your game beyond what the servers need. The full list is on the Privacy page.

Rights and game files

Project Freaky does not sell, distribute or license the game, its files or its assets, and it claims no ownership of any Epic Games trademark. You need your own legitimate copy of the game to play. The project is free, fan made and independent.
